What is Light Painting?

A light painting is created by combining dozens of carefully aligned images that are macro lit with a variety of light sources; frequently flashlights. By utilizing this method, very fine details emerge in a photo that simply aren't possible by other methods. The result are stunning and almost three dimensional.
