As a professional photographer, I travel to a lot of places. Bender Photography regularly does work in Blairstown, Columbia, Frelinghuysen and Hope, New Jersey. We also cover Monroe County, Pennsylvania, taking pictures in little towns like Sciota, Brodheadsville, Canadensis, and Effort. We also go further west in Pennsylvania and regularly shoot jobs in Weatherly and Hazleton. In fact, over the years we've completed assignments in many interesting places; like the Pennsylvania State Capitol, The World Trade Center and even the White House. No kidding! Being a professional photographer has taken me to some pretty cool places!
A lot of the people that we meet and get to know, only see me as one type of photographer. But as a photographer, I wear many different hats and create several kinds of professional pictures.
In this blog I plan to discuss some of the stuff that I (actually we, since Bender Photography is more than just me anymore) do as photographers. I want to talk about some of the fun jobs that we do. So let me tell you about one that we did this week…
On Sunday, Dixie and I traveled to another little town, Stockertown, to “Santa's Pit Stop”. We went to do create family portraits for Kathy, who runs a pre-school where we are photographers.
There we photographed Kathy's “Grands!”. That's what she calls her grandchildren. We photographed them with Santa and we photographed them with a reindeer. We also did the family portraits for each of Kathy's Kids. The entire session took just over two hours and everyone had a blast. Kathy covered the cost of the session, which we consider a Family Location Portrait Session. It is a part of her gift to her kids and was a great way to get her family all together have a great time and get great family pictures, too.
